About the Client and Project

This C2C online retail platform for kids provides a marketplace for parents to buy and sell preloved items. The platform serves as a multi-vendor marketplace, allowing parents to list their preloved products and make them available to other parents. With this unique concept, the client seeks to make parenting more affordable and contribute to a sustainable environment by reducing waste.

Unified Infotech was tasked with updating and upgrading its current website. They were also responsible for transitioning it from a third-party e-commerce solution to a fully customized, user-friendly, multi-vendor platform. The objective was to address various pain points related to multi-vendor management, inventory complexities, and shipping cost calculation to improve the conversion of casual browsers to buyers and sellers.

Background and Strategic fit

The project aimed to transform the client’s website and make it more scalable, efficient, and sustainable. By reengineering the client’s website design and development and making the website their own, we wanted to streamline their ecommerce processes like supply chain management, shipment and delivery, etc.

  • Client product listing was aesthetically and functionally very poor, resulting in high bounce rates despite getting good traffic
  • Client had no seller panel using which the seller could manage their individual profiles and product listings
  • Not being user-friendly resulted in hassles for the buyers, hampering the business revenue
  • Despite being a unique concept, the client was unable to give it the required traction
  • Discrepancies in shipping cost calculation based on product weight meant that the client had to bear the difference

  • Multiple vendors and varying pick-up points made real-time product tracking a complex process
  • Integrating the courier service provider’s API was another challenge we had to overcome
